1.Pura

http://www.pura.com.au

-Pura is a very famous milk brand in Australia. The website itself is organized and the layout is consistent.

-The disadvantages of this website is probably the hierachy of the content. Not obvious at all and don't have the contrast between the title and the navigation design.

-The color scheme is very close to the Goodday website and it is a good reference for me to redesign it.(What a coincidence!XD)

2.Nestle

http://www.nestle.com.my

-Nestle is a famous food and beverage company in Malaysia.

-The website itself look professional and the layout is clean due to the usage of white background.

-The cons of this website is the loading speed too slow and it will induce the user don't have much patience to wait.

-The navigation design is nice especially it use color to differentiate it.

-Some of the typography treatment is not enough and not contrast at all.

3.Marigold

-Marigold is one of the famous beverage brand in Malaysia.

-The logo for this brand is not outstanding and the typo treatment is boring.

-The color scheme look a bit weird, something like a restaurant website.

-I would suggest the color change to blue and red to suit the packaging itself.

4.Dutch Lady

-Dutch Lady same like the nestle website, both also look very professional layout and it is easy to know where the user is.

-It also apply the lightbox to show its product.

-Some navigation button is not obvious and the title also.

-I inspired by this website due to the color mode and the composition itself and I believe this can really help me in redesign my client website.

-this website used a lot of cute character and graphic to enhance the overall feeling of this website.

-I like the interactive of this website which is the car can be move by swaping the information above on it.

-this website really having the old school style due to the typography it used and also the graphic itself.

-the navigation is visible and it is organize.

-I like the typo treatment they used on the logo because it is interesting and will motivate the user to know the meaning behind of it.

-The color mode of this website is nice and it is very contrast between the content and the image.

-Besides that, the website itself doesn't look very fancy or heavy.On the other hand, it is light and the loading speed is quite good.

-I like the interactive of this website which is the message really related to the camera itself.

-Another things that I can said on this website is it really show this website is about the camera because they used a lot of picture to explain or introduce the camera itself rather than used a lot of words to describe it.

Long time din update my blog (haha >.<...paiseh)....so this is the color palette for my e-card design assignment...the color is inspired by the beautiful or nice reference that i have collected...the color i put in the palette is very useful to us especially when you want design something and you can't think of the color what you want to use...so the color palette can help you a lot...haha...btw...here is some color palette that i have collected:

Flowchart

Flowchart is defined as a diagram that represent an algorithm or process showing the steps as boxes of various kinds and their order by connecting with these arrows (That is the official definition i found on wikipedia). Well, actually flowchart is helping us to present in a simple and fastest way. The reason i saying this is because you just need write your important point into a diagram and simplifies the message you want to convey, this actually can save a lot of time compare to present a longer and pointless message. Nowadays, flowchart can be easily found in a presentation because of its usefulness and can make the presentation more persuasive to the audience.

Alright, now i will straight to the point, why do we want to use flowchart in our mobile interface design and screen interface design? As i mentioned earlier, flowchart is helpful in presentation but when come to create an interface design, the functionality of flowchart is almost the same. When we want to think a new idea, we always brainstorm some idea and this will cause us have several idea came out. So, flowchart play an important role in this situation here. It can help us analyse our idea and can start thinking which is the seed idea. All we need to do is write down all the idea on a paper and the seed idea always start from the top and the final outcome is end on the bottom. On the way that we are creating, we will have some boxes and each boxes represent a process and link with some arrows. We also can apply different colors on the boxes or the arrows, so that this can make the flowchart look more interesting and colors always will make us remember or understand easily.

The second question is how will it help the users to meet the interactive goals? I think this is based on the users opinion because some of the people will think flowchart is an extra step in the process of create an interface design; but in the opposite way, some people will think flowchart actually can help them to meet the interactive goals. But, what is the interactive goals for them? Maybe some of the users are having different kind of interactive goals but i'm sure they are almost the same which is they want a clear direction and information when they are using the interface design. So, i believe this also is the ultimate goal for the users because an interface design which exclude of clear direction and information, this interface design can be say as a failure. Flowchart can help the designers create a better flow of direction and it can help the designers managing the problem easily.

Basically, the flowchart is really really really helpful for us and it is a powerful tool in the presentation. So, we should use it oftenly and don't cmplain this and that.

Kevin's new pet - Bunny

Haha...i was so lazy to do my work during the weekend...so i surf the web and look for some cool tutorial which is helpful in my icon design assignment...i was frustrated during the searching because all of the tutorial is so complicated and lot of step...suddenly my eye sight stop at a funny bunny picture...so i click into it and started to create my new pet - bunny...here is the silly bunny i had created:

Yeah...finally it is done...after finish my alarm clock...i found an interesting tutorial on creating your own badge by using Adobe Illustrator...it is challenging and you will get impress by yourself when you crossing the finish line...haha...here is my own badge:

My "waterish" Alarm Clock

Finally...today sook chiong (my mm lecturer) start teach us how to make a glossy icon...haha...when i heard she say out of this word...i was so happy and excited because finally i can learn the things which is related to multimedia...so...as usual she explain the steps of making a glossy icon to us and we all just follow what she did during the class...when i finish my glossy icon...i had a shock because it can be very realistic and nice by using the Adobe Illustrator (this is because i always think that AI is useless and only can do tracing...not much useful as compare to Adobe Photoshop...haha..."AI, please forgive my silliness >.<")...then after finish the glossy icon...we start to do the alarm clock as our home assignment...wow...this is challenging because we going to do without sook chiong explanation...but luckily we got the PDF file which is the steps of create the alarm clock...so i just follow the steps and change the color of it instead of the background itself...so through out this lesson...i realise lightning is very important when you start to create a 3D object...so i will try to improve my lightning sense...here is the glossy icon and alarm clock that i had made:

10 Things that describe Me

Nothings else that i can say..it is hard to find 10 things to describe me...zzz...coz i believe that is a lie when u can find sumthing tat can describe urself (ppl always praise themself or find sum gd things tat is bout them)..so for me...i would like to say i will stand in a different way to look in myself...XD...

Who is Kevin actually???First...i found out this guy is quite tall and hav an ordinary appeareance (in my thoughts la)...This fellow is quite humor when he is with their fren tat is know him very well...for those ppl who is know him in the early stage...may not find out wat is so humor on him (mayb is bcoz of his face..damn serious!)...so tat might is the 1st thing tat i can say about...

Next...the 2nd things tat i can use in desribe him is playful lo...i m sure every guys is very playful instead of him...he likes playing games especially computer games such as dota...fifa and of course some facebook games...haha...

Besides tat...i mayb would use serious this word to describe him...it is bcoz when he doin sumthing tat he is interested or not...he will show up his serious face (during this time u better dun kacau him)...this might be a gd thing 4 him...depend on u how 2 see him...so tat is the 3rd thing...

The 4th thing is he is an impatient ppl (haha...finally the bad thing saying)...he is very hate those ppl who are late or not punctual on time...but i m sure tis bad habit is oso dislike by everyone...so again...this will depend on how 2 see him whether is gd thing or a bad thing...

Furthermore...he very like to chat with his fren...watever topic tat his fren are discussing...he oso can join in the conversation (in my opinion la...i duno whether his fren is bother him anot when he is joining the conversation...haha)...so tat is the 5th things use on describe him...

So fast the 6th thing is coming up...let talk about his secondary school...he was studying in Chong Hwa Independent High School...i m sure most of the ppl gt hear about it...this is a chinese educated school and its fee is increasing greatly year by year (i hope the school authorities wont look at this..>.<)

Moreover...mayb gt ppl will ask y tis fellow put such a title on his blog...i think he might wan give a relaxing feel to the reader and create a place for their soul to have the "relaxation"...ouch..y hit me??oh...i juz get his ans and he say the reason he put tis title is mainly bcoz he feel tis title is cool enough...=.=...wat a lame reason...so that is the 7th thing...

The 8th thing is wat is his dislike food recently???According the latest news tat i receive...he was sick during this weekend and the causes is most probably he ate the j-co donut...zzz...
haiz...actually he is not drink enough of water and
the donut is contain much of "grease" and choco...
oh...wat a pity boy...

The 9th thing tat i know from him is he is a big
basketball fans...and he is currently support the Boston Celtics which is a very popular NBA team...

Finally...the last thing tat i can say about him is i think his grammer nid to b improve...as all of u read juz now...those word is typing by him...and i juz like comment those thing and he type all the thing...so i hope the readers can forgive his inappropriate typing...and tat is the 10 things tat can describe him...zzz....wat a lame post!!!
